Building is a collective effort: Tervoort Egmond

A modern family business that has been building and developing for generations

From design to execution, the construction process requires extensive expertise and commitment. Only through intensive collaboration can a project be successfully realised and comply with the requirements set out in the Building Decree. A crucial factor is the timely involvement of all construction partners in the process. Tervoort Egmond is a modern family business that has been building and developing for generations, with a strong presence in the North Holland North region.

“As a true North Holland construction company, we place great value on strong collaboration. Clarity and honoring agreements are self evident to us. Personal contact forms the foundation for a constructive and pleasant working relationship. In recent years, we have realised many successful projects in collaboration with Leegwater Houtbereiding and PontMeyer.”

Sustainable Timber Application at De Egmonden, Egmond aan Zee

The collaboration between Tervoort Egmond and Leegwater Houtbereiding is exemplified in the project De Egmonden, comprising a care hotel and hospice located at the edge of the dunes in Egmond aan Zee. In this sensitive coastal environment, sustainable façade cladding was central, with careful consideration given to aesthetics, service life and maintenance control. For this project, thermally modified fraké was selected, a timber species known for its high dimensional stability and enhanced durability without the use of chemical preservation methods. By aligning the timber process integrally with the design principles and execution planning of Tervoort Egmond, a façade concept was realised that is both architecturally refined and technically robust. De Egmonden demonstrates how timber preservation and integrated project collaboration result in a future proof solution.

More Joint Projects

In addition to De Egmonden, Leegwater Houtbereiding and Tervoort Egmond have collaborated on several projects in which sustainable façade cladding and high quality timber preservation played a central role.

Landal Berger Duinen Schoorl

For the holiday park Landal Berger Duinen in Schoorl, Douglas façade cladding was selected with a durable treatment that provides protection against weathering while allowing the timber to age naturally in a controlled manner. Through the application of a carefully constructed finishing system, not only was the aesthetic quality safeguarded, but maintenance intervals were also optimised. In a natural dune environment, this requires a timber technical approach in which durability, appearance and long term performance are brought together.

De Bannehoven Zaandijk

De Bannehoven in Zaandijk was realised by Tervoort within Bouwcombinatie T&G. For this project, Leegwater Houtbereiding was responsible for the preservation and preparation of the timber façade cladding, resulting in a durable and high quality façade application.

Lido Egmond aan Zee

For the expansion of Lido in Egmond aan Zee, thermally modified fraké was applied as façade cladding. The selection of this timber species supports a warm, natural appearance combined with high dimensional stability. Leegwater Houtbereiding carried out the timber preservation and preparation of the façade elements, aligned with the execution details of the project. The result is a durable and stable façade solution suited to coastal conditions.
