A new building with a new name: Child Centre Bloei
With a growing number of pupils, the existing building on Verdilaan, which dated from 1974, had become too small and no longer met modern educational standards. A brand-new, modern building has been constructed on the site of the old Wilhelmina School. This evangelical Christian children’s centre provides childcare and education for children up to the age of 13 and covers an area of 2,047 m². The building is energy-neutral and meets the requirements of the ‘Frisse Scholen’ Class A scheme.
Leegwater manufactured the timber cladding, which is made from Douglas fir ‘Sorted Grade’ with an open-joint structure. The Douglas fir has been preserved with Woodlife HL 50, partially treated with the fire-retardant Flame Delay FX Pro® and finished with Sansin SDF.
