At the end of September 2020, the 29 flats for the Grootslag housing association on Jacques Bloemhof in Hoorn were completed. The building contains 29 flats for clients of healthcare provider Philadelphia. In addition to these flats, there are also two communal living rooms in the building, which are located on the corner. A beautiful inner-city development on this former school site.
Thermally modified pine was used for the wooden façades, which we treated with Flame Delay FX Pro to make it fire retardant. As a final finish, we treated the wood with Sansin Enviro Stain Woodsealer. This combination ensures durability, protection and natural ageing of the wood.
The photos below were taken in 2025, five years later. They clearly show the natural ageing of the wood.
