The Almere College, Ichthus College and Landstede MBO have taken a next step in the mutual use of the new school building near the Dronten station. A modern school building was developed here that radiates the atmosphere of professional practice and where modern training programmes in the fields of care, technology and economy, among others, form part of the curriculum. There is a close collaboration in place with the Dronten region business world.

Why opt for a mutual location?

The unique collaboration between the three schools secures Dronten’s education portfolio and ensures that its students are fully prepared for their future as professionals. The school building provides an environment where students from the Dronten region can develop to the best of their abilities so that they can become acquainted with the various professional fields from within the context of their own interests and experiences.
Students from the age of 12 onwards are welcome in the school where they will be known and seen and where, after lower secondary professional education, they can achieve a start qualification for certain study areas at secondary professional education level 2.

Together under one roof preserving one’s identity

Within the building, the different groups of students and employees function as they would in society as much as possible. Respect for each other, meeting each other, working together and using materials and the building together, are all at the heart of the matter. Within the collaboration there is also room for the differences between schools and maintaining their own identities. Each school has its own ‘home base’, as it were, which concerns the lesson plans that the schools organise individually. Examples are specific talent, religion and mentor/coach lessons.
