In the municipality of Bloemendaal (Overveen), the Hoed Health Center (General Practitioners Under One Roof) has been realized. It has a unique character that takes into account the wooded surroundings in which it is located. As a result, wood became the primary construction and cladding material. With the chosen materials, the design by Heiko Hulsker Architecten blends seamlessly into the landscape. For the façade cladding, Fraké wood in various sizes was selected. Fraké is a thermally modified wood that ensures the material’s durability and environmental friendliness. We treated the wood with the fire-retardant Flame Delay® FX Pro and finished it with Sansin Enviro Stain SDF in a Fraké color, giving it a natural appearance.
