About

Kreekrijk is the latest residential district of Assendelft. Here, much attention was paid to the landscaping quality. The district has many waterways and is spacious, which allows for more greenery in the district. The houses have a Zaan region architecture with a modern twist. All the homes are energy-efficient and all-electric. This means that the homes will not be connected to the gas grid, but that they are heated through a heat pump installation. The majority of the energy consumption is generated via the solar panels on the roof. An eye-catching corner building, resembling a wooden warehouse, forms the corner of the neighborhood.
